| OK, we made it to the end of summer and our project is as completed as we planned for the year. The last few pictures show where we finished up. We closed down our pool and covered it up. | This is showing one of the gates we put on our deck. Home Depot sells a gate kit for around $20 that works great. Also, it is hard to see but we added a 2x4 on edge around the exposed step up area between the upper and lower decks. It adds a finished edge and also will be used next year when we start adding the deck lighting. | |

| This shows the other gate. We added supports to the rail so it made the rail more rigid. It was strong enough before but we wanted the extra strength for the repeated door closings. | This is a wider view of the top deck facing SE. It is hard to see but you may notice the inside edge of the pool is not finished. We had not decided how we wanted the inside edge to look. Now, we have it figured out and will finish it in the spring. We will update this site with new pictures as to what we did. | |
