Overview
Thought you might like to see my project. Used your Dek-Blocks and was quite pleased with their ease of use and how sturdy the deck turned out. I am sure I will use them again. The project was my own design using one of your plans to properly set and space the blocks. The total cost of the project was about $1000.00. A little expensive considering the size but the price of the redwood was really worth it.
Thanks again for the Dek Block product. Was easy to use and saved me lots of time and work.

Image 2: A rough Outline of my idea. Had some wood left over from another project. Really helped in the placement and leveling of the Dek blocks.
Image 3: Used "Dek Blocks" for the surface foundation. Used one of the Deck plans and modified it for my needs. A little tough to level but they saved me a whole lot of work and time . Really liked the way the boards set into the block. Helped to keep everything nice and square. Added some paving stones to transition under the deck, and moved the flower bed behind the deck. Used pressure treated pine for the foundation structure.
Image 4: Set two 6" X 6" X 13' construction heart redwood posts. The posts are 3 feet in the ground and are set in about 180 pounds of concrete each. Chose redwood because I was afraid pressure treated pine posts this size would twist and bend over time. Had to drive to Dallas,TX to get the wood cause' nobody in Shreveport had it.
Image 5: Close up of the rafters. Took a little time but I think the results were worth it.
Image 6: All done. Just need to find a swing. Love the look and feel of the Redwood. This thing is really solid. The Dek blocks were really are a great way to start.
Image 7: Finally found a swing. Cypress is about all one can find locally. I think it is a nice contrast to the Redwood.
